I only have myself to blame for over scheduling my time. Partly, it’s the life of the freelance, taking work when it comes, as inconvenient as it might be. But partly, it’s me, saying yes to all manners of things that are interesting and then end up piling up on each other. It’s also Spring, and I have come back to life, after a hermit Winter. So, if I can get to the end of Friday, I am planning a weekend of nothing much: dogs, yoga, books, mindless videos and general laziness. Starting with this post.
Category: Things We Love
I am not sure how we jumped from January to April (or, at least, that is how it feels to me) but here we are, with Spring in full bloom. Two things always happen to me in Spring: I want to sleep longer and I reawaken to the world, which means that I end up being very busy, doing a million things I wouldn’t have considered two months ago. April also means my trip to see sofagirl (and the elephants) is six weeks closer! Have a wonderful weekend.
It must be the Spring reawakening dormant joy but my outlook on life is brighter. How would my mood be affected if I lived, say, in Alaska? I shudder to think. A walk on the beach with the hounds and a friend’s play are in the cards for me this sunny and windy weekend. If you have some time on your hands, here you will find some suggestions on how to squander it.
Sometimes, you just need zebras. I promise none of the animals in this week’s edition are sappy stories about real animals. The John Oliver’s segment on zebras had me in stitches and, during the past week, zebras popped into my minds when I most needed them. Goes to show my mind might be seriously warped….happy Friday!
