(5) Things we love…#149

Posted in Things We Love

The warmth of the sun has wiped away Autumn, just for a few days: my mom’s last few days here which I am planning to spend exclusively with her. Come Tuesday, both the dogs and I will be back to our regular routines.

One. Never too late to become an artist (via sofa girl).

90-Year-Old Czech Grandma Turns Small Village Into Her Art Gallery By Hand-Painting Flowers On Its Houses

Two. Or, when cancer and profanities meet and art ensues.

Three.  A propos of Autumn, this just made me laugh (thank you Bonnie – from The New Yorker):the caption reads “she had work done”.

Four. If you are still wondering how things might have turned out. Or just want to see the best thank you session ever.

Five. If you have a little bit of time, this is a great read. If you date online, this will make you think hard on how well we really know the people we like. The Dirty John story has been appearing in installments and will conclude on Sunday. Just click on the days to read on.

  2. Looks like I’m even farther behind that I thought. Hope your mum’s last days were extra special and she had a safe trip home.

      • The adjustment of a quite house is always challenging. Sending oodles of poodles thoughts, hugs and tail wags while you adjust.

  3. Loved number 1! That lady’s got talent, and she’s channeling her inner Portuguese tile maker 🙂 What a lovely way to add colour to a place and make it pretty.
