Drily, sofagirl remarked that, had I taken antibiotics, my tonsillitis would have resolved in three days. But me being me, I had to let it run its course so I spent the best part of the week at home, venturing out only for what was impossible to erase from my calendar. There were a lot of napping, steaming cups of tea and Echinacea spray. I also kept my mouth shut quite a bit. But now I am ready for the medicinal plants walk in the Santa Monica Mountains I booked weeks ago. And maybe some more napping.
One. Could this be the face of a new monarchy? Princes William and Harry talk about the difficulties in coping with the death of their mother and why taking care of one’s mental health is important.
Two. Have you been trying to be kinder? This might help you. (via sofagirl).
Three. It’s with some pride that I write it was a female Italian scientist who discovered the caterpillar that can eat its way through plastic. A new way to recycle?
Four. An advertising campaign with a social message can look suspiciously callous (or go awry – like the Pepsi debacle). But this works. Great viewing.
