One. A close friend of mine, a wonderful mother, since her son was born has never bored me (or anybody else for that matter) with stories of little Freddie’s accomplishments or feeding habits. And I am so very grateful, thinking of how often I had to nod and feign interest in other people’s children.
These tweets, though, from mothers all over, are hilarious and I could spend hours scrolling through.
Two. For when you are tired of all those celebrities’ posed photos. Aussie comedienne Celeste Barber keeps it real.
Three. Maybe it’s just a publicity stunt but seeing a woman disfigured by acid walking the New York Fashion week runways as a model might go a long way to redefine what it means to be beautiful. Reshma Quereshi has made it her mission to advocate for women who have been disfigured like her, to keep their plight at the forefront of the public opinion, all with tremendous grace and humor.
Four. Possibly the only good reason for not living in the present.
Five. For our LA readers: while wandering around Sawtelle Boulevard, a Japanese-centric area, I happened upon Tokyo Japanese Outlet where I bought these cute lunch boxes to keep small things tidy. $2.00 each. And I found so many original little gifts (bunny ear deodorants, adorable night lights), I will be back before Christmas.
