Meryl Streep’s thoughts struck a real chord with me, especially ‘I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism… I have lost the will to please those who do not like me…’ as, at work, I have recently been on the end of some ‘excessive criticism’ by ‘those who do not like me’. Unfortunately, though, I have to make a living and suffer many of these things.

    And btw I have seen that exhibition at the Royal Academy.
